Hello all!

As part of the funding provided by the government of the Netherlands, we have funds to hire support positions to enhance the online presence of youth at COP through youthclimate.org. We are currently accepting applications for all positions until November 14 at 2359GMT. Interviews will be held on November 15 and 16.

Website content development
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Saturday Nov 14 at 2359 GMT
Employment period: Full-time from November 16 - Dec 4th, 2009
Description: Youthclimate.org aims to be the main focal point for information on international youth climate movement. It will serve as a connection point for international youth and a point to direct others to get involved in the movement. This position is for an individual to build the content on the website. This will include compiling the information of the movement and working to include all interested parties and connections within the movement. It will also include working closely with the developing team to ensure maximum effectiveness.

It is encouraged for interested applicants, if available, to apply for both the following positions:

Website management lead-up to and during COY/COP

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Saturday Nov 14 at 2359 GMT
Employment period: Part time from hire date - Dec 4; Full time Dec. 5 - Dec. 22nd, 2009

Description: Youthclimate.org aims to be the main focal point for information on international youth climate movement. It will serve as a connection point for international youth and a point to direct others to get involved in the movement. This position is for an individual to be the web manager during COP 15 and COY. This will include working with many partners to ensure the maximum effectiveness of youthclimate.org during the conferences. Including but not limited to, all youth groups, media groups, tcktcktck, and partners to be connected to at COP. It is a important position that will require lots of work and is very important that you have good people skills and can work quickly an well with various cultures face to face.

Post-COP website management
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Saturday Nov 14 at 2359 GMT

Employment period: Part-time for 6 months post-COP

Description: Youthclimate.org aims to be the main focal point for information on international youth climate movement. It will serve as a connection point for international youth and a point to direct others to get involved in the movement. This position is for an individual to be the web manager of yc.org for 6months post COP 15 with a possible extension if further funding becomes available. This will include working with many partners to ensure the maximum effectiveness of youthclimate.org post COP 15. The main role will be to continuously update yc.org and act as the international focal point for the YOUNGO and to keep getting people involved.

IT meeting

The group of IT members had meeting on 4th Oct 2009 at 9p.m (Japan's time). It's good to get together with almost all members even if we had only one-hour discussion. Below are thing done in the meeting:
A. New leaflet for YPD worldwide
Clemence at French Team is in charge of this, and Vince is going to tell her to send us a sample after creating a new one.

B. YPD website
Mafiz is going to make up items on website and to show us to make it better. He will send us a draft one after finishing it.

C. Discussion of an approval for new team in Bangladesh
IT has arrived at a conclusion that we urge them to contact Mafiz to join Bangladeshi team. I am going to email Milton directly.
The next meeting is on 1 November 2009.

Preparation of an Annual Training Program YPD 2011


As a host of Annual Training Program (ATP) YPD 2011, Indonesia is working hard to prepare everything that related to ATP YPD 2011. After Annual Training Program YPD 2010 in France, YPD Jakarta had held meeting many times, and January 19, 2011  YPD Jakarta had fixed some plans of ATP YPD 2011, as follow:


Theme        : WE CARE FOR POVERTY, ENVIRONMENT, AND TOLERANCE
Date           : October 24 - November 4, 2011
Location     : Jakarta (October 24 - November 1) and in Bali (November 2-4).
Participants    :  more than 150 people including committees of ATP YPD 2011
