YPD Network Vietnam
YPD VietnamYPD Vietnam was one of the first teams to become part of the YPD International Network. There are three YPD teams in Vietnam. YPD Hanoi, YPD Van Mon and YPD Saigon. YPD Hanoi YPD Hanoi was one of the pioneer YPD teams and the first YPD team to fully organise the YPD training programme in 2005. YPD Van Mon YPD Van Mon was initiated by Bro. Thuong. It's main focus in the Van Mon Leprosy and Dermatitis Hospital. YPD Van Mon organises English classes for children of the leprosy colony as well as other development projects. YPD Saigon YPD international had since 2003 supported the Young Christian Students (YCS) team in Saigon through the YPD Training Programme. In 2005, Dr. Cung joined the YPD training in Hanoi. Dr. Cung encouraged many young people from Saigon to take part in YPD. Ms Tran Thi My Chi who attended YPD training in Malaysia in 2006 initiated the first YPD in Saigon. The members of YPD Saigon are as follows: - Ms. Tran Thi My Chi (coordinator) - Mr. Pham Ly Thien - Ms. Vu Quynh Giao - Ms. Nguyen Thi Huynh Hoa - Ms. Nguyen Le Thanh Hoa - Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Van - Ms. Pham Thuy Khanh Van - Mr. Tran Minh Luan - Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh Kha - Ms. Tran Le Phuong Thao The theme of YPD Saigon for 2007 is "A future of hope, on the road of trust, solidarity, and the way to the peace." YPD Saigon will focus on social activities to assist the poor in Saigon. YPD Saigon will also organise activities to develop the skills of members of YPD Saigon such as "How to fund raise for projects" and "How to organise social activities."
