ThailandThis year, YPD Chiangmai held three meetings.The last meeting took place the 5 June 2006. YPD Chiang Mai decided to send members to join YPD 2006 Training Program (between 3 to 5). They agreed to do fundraising activities to join YPD 2006. 1.Order 200 pieces of T-Shirt for sale on June 23-24. Meeting in Chiang Mai ![]() Actions of the year YPD had organised training sessions for 6 youth groups of Karen, Lahu, Lawa and Hmong. Each group had 50 members, making a total of 300. The training dealt with leadership skill, concept of development, community culture, value system, mutual aid (like in rice merit movement), etc. Rice Merit Movement is a network of around 300 villages in the mountains. This movement organizes a rice and money bank from these villages and redistribute it to the poorest villages. The coordinator of this movement is a YPD member in Chiang Mai, Nikli. Regarding volunteer program, 2 French volunteers provided English class. They taught every evening 1h30 in the week for 5 months in the RTRC (Research Training for Religio Cultural Center), home of YPD in Chiang Mai and of the two first Training Programs in 2003 and 2004. The RTRC On June 3, YPD Chiangmai has joined a process at Tha Pae Old City Gate, Chiangmai to commemorate the 60th anniversary of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne, which was organised by Committee for Christian Unity of Chiangmai.
