YPD Annual Training Programme 2007, Cambodia, July 14th to 22dEnterprise and Innovation for the Environment: Capacity Building for Asia - Europe Youths on Sustainable DevelopmentCongratulations to YPD Cambodia for all the work done organising the YPD Annual Training from July 14th to 22nd, 2007 in Phnom Penh, Kampong Chhnang and Siem Reap. The training programme on Enterprise and Innovation for the Environment: Capacity Building for Asia - Europe Youths on Sustainable Development, hosted by Cambodia in July 2007 was a great success! Around 60 participants coming from 14 different countries from Asia and Europe attended our programme. Some new countries were introduced to the YPD network, like Philippines, Sweden, Holland, and Laos, hopefully some new chapter will appear very soon! During the immersion programme in Phnom Penh participants have been seperated into 3 different groups to share about 3 different innovation for environment :
The main training programme was held in Siem Reap and started with a memorable bike ride around Angkor Wat to raise awareness on environmental protection and climate change. 60 YPD members were cycling as a group with t-shirt and hats. Let's Beat the heat all together! After so much exercice, we all could relax our legs listening to presentation on climate change and global warming, improved lao stoves, sculpture workshop... But not very long... why? because all participants had to prepare and rehearse its performance (dancing, singing...) for the cultural show to take place on the final day of the training in Phnom Penh. This was at the same time a fundraising and an intercultural event open for public. About 100 people came to see the show. Great success! The YPD network thanks a lot ASEF for its support for this programme. This programme was supported by the Asian-Europe Foundation (ASEF): ![]() ![]() |
