Direction for the 9th ATP YPD 2011

Arrival in Indonesia

1. Airport Soekarno-Hatta Jakarta – Indonesia.
2. All participants are requested to send your expected arrival and departure times to the host by September 30, 2011.
3. YPD Indonesia will be at the airport to assist participants with transport to a venue only on October 24.
4. The registration desk will be opened when you arrive at the venue on October 24.

The participants will need to bring:

1. You will need US Dollars and Indonesian currency for:

-          Visa fee (landing visa) 25.00 USD

-          Airport Tax when you leave from our country: 150,000.00 IDR (about 15.00 USD depending on exchange rates)

1. For emergency please bring a photocoy of your pasport and leave one at home as well.
2. The traditional clothes (for opening ceremony and cultural night show)
3. Any Music or karaoke CD
4. A flag of your country
5. Swimming clothes (in Bali)
6. Sport clothes and shoes
7. Umbrella (we cannot predict weather here = unstable) and mosquito repellent.

The participants will need to prepare:

1. A report of activities YPD each country for one year: what you have done, what you are doing, and what you will do (please enclosed the photos of activities) and please send it to International Coordinator ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) by September 30, 2011. All report of each countries will be made in a book by International Coordinator and at the General Assembly (GA) will be reported  it.
2. Performance of Culture. We plan to invite many people at Culture Night Show (about 500 people including participants).
3. Local art productions. There is a session where there are stall for promotion of your local art production.

General Information

1. Meeting Venue

The meeting venue will be at Taman Mini Indah Indonesia (TMII), Jakarta on 24th October – 1st November, 2011 and in Bali on November 2-4, 2011.

1. 2. Participants

YPD Indonesia will invite 3 people each organizations (abroad) and 1 person  each organization (domestic). All participants are 100 people including committees and volunteers. Besides YPD member, other organizations will also join this meeting, for instance, Canada, Africa, Germany, Iraq, and Nepal. We hope they can join this meeting.

1. 4. The following will be distributed in Indonesia

YPD Indonesia will distribute to paticipants: shirt, bag, hat, drink bottle, notebook, and certificate.

1. 5. Weather

Wether condition in October and November normally the rainy season, but sometimes the weather is not predicted here (for more information go to: http://www.bmkg.go.id).

1. 6. Dress

Indonesia is fashionable and modern. There are no dress restrictions for non-Muslim ladies. Ladies wear dresses, skirts (of all lengths), suits, and trousers for office and daily wear. For casual wear, shorts, and spaghetti straps are common (and acceptable). Tourists visiting certain places, e.g. mosques, church, and museums are advised to wear clothes with sleeves and definitely no shorts.

1. 7. Visa Fee

Most countries can apply for the landing visa upon arrival at Jakarta airport. The fee per person is USD 25.00. Only a few countries need a visa well in advance. If you need a letter from YPD Indonesia, please inform us as soon as possible.

1. 8. Airport Tax

Participants must pay the Airport Tax when they depart Indonesia. The tax is IDR 150,000.00 (about  USD 15.00, depending on exchange rates).

1. 9. Mobile Phones

Most people can use their mobile phones in Indonesia or they can purchase a SIM card during their visit.
