International Coordinator YPD attended CCI (Cardijn Community International) – 10th Anniversary International Forum on “Peace Building towards Sustainable Development” and CCI General Assembly of all Cardijn Followers 2011 from Saturday, the 23rd to Manday, the 25th July 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand. In this meeting they talked, discussed, and shared about Methodology of CCI as also methodology of YPD, those are SEE, JUGDE, and ACT. On See part they focused on Inquiries of reality of “My Community and My Country”, on Judge part was focused on Analysis/reflection (Judge) on See part – “Common realities” in the syntheses, and on Act part was focused on Future Perspectives: Individual/collective plan for CCI: ideas/suggestion for link/cooperation. In General Assembly Stefan Gigacz was elected as a President of CCI. President/Convenor, Manasa Janaki and Patrick Vishal Fernandes sharing the role of secretary, Juanito Penequito as treasurer, Fr Reid Shelton Fernando and V. Susairaj as collaborators. Clement Katongo will act as extension officer for Africa while Kevin Vaughan will play the same role for the Pacific. Congratulation for Stefan Gigacz! We believe that you can give some new ideas to do something in CCI, society, and nation. We YPD also hope we can cooperate each other in doing something good for this world. Some of members YPD attended this meeting among others Evalina Pasaribu (International Coordinator YPD), Friska Vida Angela Hutagaol (YPD Jakarta), Peter Thuong (YPD Hanoi, Vietnam), Chan Phanboon/Nu (YPD Chiang Mai), One from YPD Bangkok, and also Wakako Matsumoto and his husband (Saw Eh Kalu) from Bangkok. After meeting in Bangkok, International Coordinator and Friska Vida went to Chiang Mai to do fundraising with bringing products of Indonesia and selling there. They stayed there from 27th July till August 6, 2011. Beside doing fundraising, they also discussed with YPD Thailand and Fr. Niphot (one of founders YPD) about backgroud of YPD and what is YPD, and as young people what they want to do in their life. They also visited one of Organizations in Phayao, that is, ROTARY CLUB which is focused on sustainable development.
Mae Wah Khee, Burma
Migrant’ Students, Mae Sot-Thailand From Chiang Mai International Coordinator continued her trip to visit YPD Karen (Mae Sot) and Burma. She stayed one week there. She and Kwi Kwi (Coordinator of YPD Karen) and others friends made some activities there as follows: teaching children, worship in the church, discussing and sharing with Burma’s community, visiting and staying with migrant’ students, visiting refugees camp, visiting channel house (focused on human rights), etc.

We hope this event will be running well for all YPD and others people who are interested in it. Therefore we hope you can register before it. And on September 26, 2011, committee of 9th ATP YPD 2011 will send you the final information about everything that related to this meeting.. And for those who needs an invitation letter, please tell it to committee. They will send it to you as soon as possible. For each countries, please prepare your culture performance, because we plan to invite many people at Culture Night Show (about 500 people including participants) and we also will try to invite the ambassador of each countries. Please prepare too a report of activities YPD each country for one year: what you have done, what you are doing, and what you will do (please enclosed the photos of activities) and please send it to International Coordinator ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
